Duties and Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Coordinator, Museum Curator, Cultural Affairs, this position will be responsible for:
  • Scanning, researching, cataloging, and making available digitally, a recently-donated, rare Wartime logbook;
  • Programming in a historic house;
  • Assisting with programming at the other Museum Windsor sites.
  • Will perform Occupational Health & Safety duties as outlined in the Corporation’s Health and Safety Program;
  • Will perform other related duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • Must be a full-time post secondary student attending an accredited University or Community College or Ontario Ministry of Education equivalent on a full-time basis (4 courses or more).
  • Must be studying in the field(s) of history, anthropology, tourism, museum studies, journalism or related field.
  • Must be returning to full-time attendance in September of 2026.
  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada for the full duration of the employment period

  • Must be between the ages of 16 and 30 years of age inclusive at the start of employment as per the eligibility requirements for Young Canada Works Program;
  • Must have the ability to travel off-site in a timely and expedient manner as required.  If method of travel is by vehicle, a current valid and lawful Class G or G2 Driver’s License in required and must provide a driver’s abstract as a condition of employment.
  • Must be available to work all shifts for the duration of employment.
    • Shifts may include days, afternoons, including weekends
      and holidays.
  • Must have attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Must be self-motivated and willing to work with a limited amount of supervision independently or within a team environment.
  • Must have excellent public relations and customer services skills and maintain cordial relations with the public, and all staff.
  • Related community and volunteer experience a definite asset.
